About

We are delighted to announce that the Sophie North Charitable Trust is holding a Sophie Snowdrop Raffle. All the prizes will be snowdrop-themed, the main ones being two unique pieces of art and jewellery. The first is a fabulous Framed Picture (29 in x 37 in) made and donated by Betty Russell who describes it as "Handmade felt with hand stitching highlighting trees and snowdrops, the greenery is machine stitched". Our other main prize is a beautiful Brooch created and donated by celebrated Orkney designer Sheila Fleet. A mixed metal piece, it is 9 ct gold and silver plus enamel and has an approximate value of £500. Eight other smaller value prizes can also be won, and there are updates on these on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/SophieNorthCharitableTrust/).

All proceeds from the raffle will go to Sophie's Trust and will help us maintain our donations to charities in areas we've supported in the past, Children's Diseases, Children's Hospices, Breast Cancer, Care of the Terminally Ill and Conflict Resolution/Anger Reduction.

Tickets go on sale in July and the draw will be held on Sophie's birthday, October 2nd. Prizes will be distributed immediately afterwards (with the exception of Prize 9 which will be sent in early 2023) to addresses in the UK.

If successful we intend to make this an annual event. Please buy lots of tickets and do tell your friends and family. Tickets are only available online through Peoples Fundraising.
