Hope2Sleep Charity
The Hope2Sleep Charity raises awareness of Sleep Apnoea, which is very common in snorers and is believed to affect around 8 million people in the UK (936 million worldwide), but sadly at least 80% remain undiagnosed. This unfortunately leaves the sufferer at a risk of heart attacks, strokes and many other linked medical conditions it causes or exacerbates.
1 in 3 children also suffer from sleep apnoea and often get wrongly diagnosed with ADHD or labelled as 'lazy' or 'naughty.'
We are a unique Charity, in that we support patients with all kinds of sleep disordered breathing, such as:-
- Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA or OSAS) Central Sleep Apnoea (CSA).
- Mixed Sleep Apnoea (also known as Complex Sleep Apnoea).
- Upper Airways Resistance Syndrome (UARS). Snoring (when UARS or OSA is suspected).
- Hypoventilation Syndromes.
- Any other condition requiring CPAP or Non-Invasive Ventilation.
Hope2Sleep has been raising awareness and giving free support since 2009, and we have walk-in charity premises in Hull for one-to-one support and sell a range of CPAP, comfort and snoring products at the charity and on our online shop, which is our primary source of funding the charity.
