About

As you will be aware, due to the current circumstances we as a club are unable to hold our Annual Whist and Prize Draw. This is an integral part of the club’s fundraising efforts for the year, which goes a long way to fund the running of this great club.

This year we are trying something different! WHY NOT BUY A SNOWMAN, OR SNOWWOMAN?

For £10 you can buy a snowman (you can buy as many as you want, the more you buy the more you could win!)

There will be a first prize of £500, along with 5 prizes of £100.

The draw will take place on 8 December 2020, the second Tuesday in December, which is traditional day of the Whist.

The cut off date will be Sunday 6 December 2020 to allow us time to collate all the snowmen, or snowwomen, for the draw.

Good luck and sell, sell, sell.

Meigle Cricket Club

From April to September cricket has been played in Meigle since 1876. The Club plays at Victory Park at weekend afternoons and, with cars parked in the ground, picnics and barbecues are popular. Practice Nights 6pm Tuesday and Thursday. Currently the first XI and the second team play in the Strathmore & Perthshire Union. The club was a founder member in 1929 and were second to Brechin in that inaugural season. The 1st XI is the only club never to have been relegated from the Union top flight since its inception. With Scotland players at all levels in their history, the Club has strong village and farming support. This shows in the family names carried over many years.
