On the 20th June 2020, Nicola, one of the Taff Rocks co-founders, will be walking from one Taff Rocks Trading Post to another to raise funds for much needed equipment and resources for Taff Rocks. She is hoping to raise £300 which will enable Taff Rocks to run workshops in other communities and disadvantaged areas.
The total mileage is approx 36. She will be starting, hopefully with some friends, at The Owl's Nest Tea Room and Diner is Llandovery (the second of the Taff Rocks Trading Posts) to Nixonville, Merthyr Vale, Merthyr Tydfil (the first of Taff Rocks trading posts). This could take her 12 hours or more, probably more as she gets toward the end as, after all, this is Wales and it can be mostly up-hill (",) through the valleys.
Nicola will have company along the way from her coach as well as essential road crew (just in case of emergencies etc). From January right up until June, she will be documenting her training progress on Facebook and via YouTube videos.
She openly admits that this will be a massive undertaking for her. Ten years ago, she completed the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge (for a charity) and in 2019 she completed a 15-mile Walkathon, to raise funds for Taff Rocks.
A note from Nicola:
Please consider sponsoring me for this, my mammoth task and the second mammoth task of my active life. Taff Rocks depends on grants and fundraising in order to bring together friends, families and communities and help them get away from the TV, combat social isolation and enable everyone to participate in a good, wholesome activity.

This is a large task for Nicola, therefore, she may need to complete this over two days!
