Story

As the cost of living continues to impact everyone's pocket, we are seeing more and more of our families with a disabled child reach financial crisis levels. It is estimated that parents will spend three times as much raising a disabled child as it costs for non-disabled children. Your financial support will help us to reach up to 75-100 families who are on a low income to receive a £40 Local Supermarket voucher that will help them to purchase a delicious Christmas dinner with all the trimmings - something that many of us take for granted and think nothing of purchasing these little luxuries at this special time of year.

We have calculated that for approximately £40, a family can buy the following: turkey, potatoes, vegetables, Yorkshire puddings, stuffing, gravy, mince pies, pigs in blankets, crackers, Christmas puddings, custard and condiments! A traditional feast!  Whilst we are working with over 350 families, at any one time, we know that this year AT LEAST 75 -100 of our families need help financially to ensure they have a quality Christmas dinner just like you. We need your help to make this happen and bring some Christmas sparkle and cheer into the homes of families who are most in need. Please donate all that you can because every penny counts.

Wow Wow Wow

Thank you everyone for your donations.  We hit our £4000 target today.  This is such a huge milestone in our fundraising campaign and means that at least 100 PlayWise families with a disabled child on a low income will receive a £40 voucher to have all the trimmings and treats at Christmas that so many of us take for granted.

We have decided to stretch our target to £5000 to see if we can help 125 families this Christmas.

Anything you can donate - whether its £5 or £50 goes directly to our families

Thank you for your continued support
