Story

Dear Parents and Carers,

My name is Chandra Alapati, and my daughter Hrudhita Alapati is a Year 9 pupil at Nonsuch High School for girls,

I am planning to do an 8-hour walking challenge to raise funds for Nonsuch PTA, on 22 October in Nonsuch Park, from 9 am to 5 pm.

The reason I am doing this is to provide extra resources (not normally provided by the Department of Education) to help in the provision of facilities for the education and well-being of our children and provide logistical support for numerous school activities and clubs.

I am hoping to get support and encouragement from other parents and everyone in the Nonsuch family - please come and join me.

Dear Friends,

First of all, thank you so much for all your support and donations, your support and positive response means so much to me!

As 22nd October is approaching quickly, doubts are creeping in my mind! My biggest worries are, is my body can cope with this intense physical challenge, which it never endures before and also can I reach my target of fundraising amount of £2500, we only raised £600 so far, still long way to go 😉

My preparations are going well, apart from few issues with my calf muscles, with regular Physio and strengthening exercises in Gym, my body is coping well. As part of my training, I am walking around 12 hrs per week and 2 strengthening session in Gym!

Even though it is tough both physically and mentally for me, but the thought of funds that I am raising will be used to provide equipment for pastoral initiatives like school clubs, which promote Positive Mental health and wellbeing in our daughters, is motivating me to carry on!

I hope you all support me in this worthy cause and donate to School PTA.

Regards

Chandra Alapati
