On sunday 26th October Dr Dawson is embarking on running 50 miles of the South Downs Way from Worthing to Eastbourne to raise money for new UK charity, Demeter.
Demeter exists to ensure that every person who needs it, regardless of where they live in the world, can gain access to pain relief medications and palliative care. Palliative care is fundamental to health and human dignity and a basic human right. Lack of access to palliative care and pain control is one the largest inequalities in global health.
Demeter wants to change this, the money raised will go towards a project in Malawi focused on carrying out a national audit of morphine use for palliative care. We hope, by understanding what is really happening, to direct and focus improvements so that more people gain access to pain medication and palliative care.

Dr Dawson is going to run up and down hills, most likely in the rain, showing considerable endurance and determination to reach the finish line. He can do it but he needs your support and sponsorship to spur him on.
Can you help him smash his fundraising target?
