The Friends aim to raise funds from members' subscriptions, donations and organising educational visits, functions and parties, in order to aid the development and conservation of the York Art Gallery Collection and to sponsor activities to further the appreciation of fine arts in York and its immediate surrounds.

Laura Turner, formerly curator at York Art Gallery, will give a conducted tour of the photographic exhibition showcasing the work of Mary Delaney (1700-88)

Please note that non members of the National Trust will need to pay for entry to Beningbrough Hall, currently £14.
