All proceeds from Woodthorpe Christmas Lights Switch On is raising money for Woodthorpe Community Group. We are a group of volunteers, living in Woodthorpe, working together to keep Woodthorpe the safe, clean, and fun place for residents and visitors. Your donations may be spent on anything from saving lives by keeping the public defibrillator running, to running the spectacular Summer Festival!

Woodthorpe Christmas Lights Switch On 2024 from Woodthorpe York Community Group

From 4pm on the 30th November, we’ll be gathering around the Christmas tree outside The Dick Turpin pub on Moorcroft Road to turn on the Christmas lights. At 6pm the big switch will be pulled, and the raffle will be drawn half an hour later! Join us, and Santa, for a glass of mulled wine, a bite to eat, and an evening of festive entertainment.
