Victoria Community Boccia Club was founded in 2016 and has become popular for non-competitive and competitive players to meet. It is open to people of any age and disability who would like to participate in the Paralympic sport of Boccia. Boccia is a sport that applies tactics and power to achieve the goal of getting your coloured ball closer to the jack (white ball) than your opponent. Balls are propelled through the use of a ramp, throwing or kicking the ball, so it's completely inclusive of any disability!
Victoria Community Boccia Club is run by a group of volunteers. The club is growing from strength to strength with a bright future ahead of it.
The club relies on grants and the generosity of the general public to fund the club to maintain it and to purchase new equipment. We are so grateful to everyone that has donated already and it has enabled us to get the club off the ground.
