St Paul's Scout Group Land Purchase

We currently lease the land upon which our Scout Hut sits. Our current lease gives us an option to purchase the land in 7 years time, a timely 100 years from our beginnings. Purchasing the land, and avoiding its public sale, will protect the future of our Scout Group. This is where we need your support...the land has been valued at £40,000 so we plan to fundraise in as many possible ways as we can think of to raise the funds for the purchase.

Summer fundraising at Bearsted Fayre and Lower Grange Farm means there is another £248 in the pot! Thank you to everyone who came along.

Our Easter Egg Hunt in April 2025 was a great success, raising £345 for the pot! The big bunny found another new home, perhaps he will come back to us again next year!

A massive £334 was donated by our local Christmas lights display - Heath Wood Lights. Our community absolutely loves this display and to be chosen as a charity in 2024 was brilliant news for our scout group. A huge thank you to Alan for all of his efforts. 

Tesco Grove Green have brought us £500 closer to our target thanks to a generous donation from second hand book sales. Thank you Tesco! 

Vasanthas food and wine kindly collected loose change, once the pot was full we cashed in £19.78!

We held a film afternoon on 30th November, allowing parents to drop their children with us and go Christmas shopping! Another £200 in the pot. 

Heath Wood Lights put on a spectacular light show for the local community for Halloween and Christmas. This year Alan has kindly offered to support both our land campaign and Hungry Hearts for the Homeless Maidstone. The Halloween show was a great success, with lots of visitors going along. Foley Park News have very generously been collecting loose change for us, just one pot collected £25.64! Please do pop a penny or two in the pot next time you are in there. 

Our Summer 50:50 raffle was a huge success, with out winner taking home a massive £200 to spend over the Summer. 

The lovely Amy Jones donated her commission for orders made via our Scout Group for Tropic products in the month of May. £45 into the pot :)

On Saturday 1st June we held a water slide event at Tovil Scout Group. The day was a great success, with lots of children sliding multiple times! Perhaps the sun will shine a little longer next year. A big thank you to Tovil Scout Group for use of their site.

We held a community Easter Egg Hunt in Penenden Heath and riased a huge £354.77!! We all had great fun and definitely are looking forward to doing it all over again next year. Thank you to everyone who came along, we are very grateful for the support.

Thank you to a generous donation from local business Medway Insulations, we are £500 closer to our target. A massive thank you from everyone at St Paul's!

Gravity offered our group, plus siblings, an hour of jumping fun, Christmas Gravity socks and plenty of squash for just £8 a head! We offered this evening at £10 per child, with a £2 donation going towards our land purchase. 67 children had a place booked, wow! Meaning we've added another £134 into the pot. Thank you everyone and Merry Christmas. 

Today is the day our public fundraising drive goes live! We have shared our details with Leaders, Parents and the Local Community. Can't wait to see what the next few years brings!
