The Pear Tree Fund
The Pear Tree Fund offers emotional, physical and practical support to people reaching the end of their lives so that those who wish to can die in the comfort and security of their own homes. Originally known as Halesworth Community Nursing Care Fund, the charity was set up in 1989. We have recently expanded the services we provide by building an innovative one-stop-shop for people who have been diagnosed with cancer or other life-limiting illnesses. Called The Pear Tree Centre, it opened in early 2020 and provides a wide range of valuable services closer to home for anyone from north east Suffolk or south Norfolk, including help understanding a diagnosis, bereavement support and counselling. We are asking for your support to help us continue providing these vital services for people in our rural community.
