Haslingfield & Harlton Eco Group came together in February 2021. We are an unincorporated group of ordinary villagers with concerns about the global climate and ecological emergencies and we want to take what steps we can as a community to address them. We aim to do this through communication, events, projects and activities that will reach out to all residents. The Eco Group is currently working to increase the biodiversity of the villages? green spaces and river; improve the river's water quality; help our community develop energy and fuel efficiencies; reduce waste, and enable us all to adapt to the effects of climate change. Climate issues affect everyone differently, so it's important to us to know our community's views and seek consensus on actions we take, whilst staying humble as to our own part in the needed solution.
