About

BuDS is an independent charity - we won't take funding from Government or councils that might compromise our ability to speak out on behalf of disabled people. This means we rely on grants and donations. Please give what you can to support our fantastic work.

There’s no waste and fat cats at BuDS. We aim to be a highly cost-effective and efficient charity. Every pound donated to us works hard. We have no significant long-term financial liabilities such as pensions or office leases. As a voluntary charity, we're proud that our volunteers, mostly disabled people themselves, contributed over 40,000 hours of their time in 2022-23, a financial contribution in kind of over £500,000.
