We are Kiri Green and Stewart Rowden, Bat Conservation Trust listed bat carers covering the former Avon area of Bristol, Bath, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset. We have also been rescuing bats from Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Somerset and Wales, and give advice to callers from across the UK.We started in 2011, called ourselves Avon Bat Care, and then changed our name to Bristol Bat Rescue in 2018.


Apart from rescuing and rehabilitating bats we also educate the public, vetinary staff, other wildlife carers, and bat workers on bats and animal welfare, and bat conservation.

Part of our work also involves protecting the public from possible exposure to a rabies-like virus a very very small number of bats carry in the UK.
