APARU is a small charity centred around the community of Argentine migrants and supporters that live in the UK. Its Mission is to help this community connect with each other and to nurture their personal growth while supporting the social development of Argentina. Thus, its work impacts both in the UK and in Argentina.
On one hand, the Argentina Impact Team organises all types of fundraising initiatives to finance projects that assist vulnerable communities in Argentina and that are executed by local charities over there.
On the other hand, the Local Impact Team runs numerous events and programmes to help the Argentine community in the UK connect and develop their careers: workshops for small business owners, networking events, a knowledge exchange programme, a mentoring programme for migrant women, diversity and inclusion workshops and more.
APARU’s members hold monthly meetings where they brainstorm for activities, introduce newcomers, socialise, and set their schedule for charitable work.
Their Vision is to become the most impactful organisation of Argentines abroad. What sets APARU apart is that its work is entirely planned and executed by volunteers, which minimises core costs and maximises their impact on the community.
