About

Youth Mix believes that education is important, whilst schools and universities provide academic education, we believe there is a lack of support for people who are transitioning into the 'work' environment - we are determined to close this gap.

The ability to adapt in the work environment is not easy, therefore supporting young people by building on their soft skills is invaluable at this early age. It is critical that young people get this support as the pressure of making key decisions which help shape their future can be daunting and stressful. We give young people access to those who have been through the journey and are willing to share their experiences, therefore fast-tracking lessons learned.

Our mission is to provide innovative programmes to people aged between 16-26 across England. We educate young people in life and work skills and inspire a generation of young leaders to become successful, confident and responsible - taking on the world as the next generation

Youth Mix is youth led: our Young Leaders drive strategic ideas as it is important that the services we offer are required. Our operations team who come from experienced backgrounds will then execute these ideas into an effective service.

Youth Mix is 100% volunteer run: we have a team who run the operations of the charity, seven Young Leaders and a Board of Trustees who all offer their valuable time for a great cause!

We thank you for your support, any donation big or small will take the charity's vision further than it is today!

Supporting

Youth Mix

Our Mission

Youth Mix has been set up in response to the severe and detrimental cuts to funding and young people’s services across England, including the mass closures of youth services across the country, leaving young people with a lack of services and support, and an increase in youth crime, self-harm and suicide. Young people are feeling more and more isolated and segregated from society with no real voice or future prospects.

At Youth Mix we aim to facilitate real change in the lives of young people aged 16 to 26 years old by facilitating informal educational activities, training opportunities and life experiences that inspire young people while providing tools and skills to help young people lead active and independent lives.

Our Values

At Youth Mix, we believe it is important to always remember why we are here. Our values highlight our priorities and what is always at the heart of our decisions.

  • Young people at the heart of Youth Mix

  • Passionate about the cause

  • Provide a professional and collaborative experience
