Village Orchard East CIC

*We are a trauma responsive organisation creatively nourishing communities*

The Village Orchard East CIC is a not-for-profit, trauma responsive organisation with a goal of providing bespoke mental health support through 1:1 psychological interventions and group work.

People are facing increasing difficulty when trying to access mental health services and our aim is to stop these people falling through the cracks.

Here are some of the roadblocks often faced by people trying to access mental health services:

• Not meeting the criteria of a statutory service or charity.

• Finding they are ineligible for mainstream services or the modality available is not one the client can engage with

• The nature of their trauma may be ‘too complex’ or 'not complex enough'

• Financial restrictions leaves them unable to cover the cost of private therapy

• Lengthy waiting lists when the need for support is more urgent

For those who have been unable to access support elsewhere due to financial limitations we offer a sliding pay scale for sessions fees, ranging from £10 - £60. We also provide a small number of ‘zero fee’ spaces.

Our team of psychological practitioners, students and volunteers cover the following modalities, Art Therapy; Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR); Drama Therapy; Play Therapy; Dance Movement Therapy; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT); Psychodynamic Therapy; Children’s and Families Interventions; Group Therapies; Counselling.
