Currently we are supporting the Malian Cultural Association called "Pensons à Demain" (Let's think about tomorrow), at their residential centre where Kader Keita and his team support children living or working on the streets of Bamako. They use Bogolan art to help these homeless and displaced children to develop their skills and realise their potential.
We suport the running costs of the centre, sending funds every three months to cover staff salaries, rent, electricity, water, internet and food, clothes and medical care for the children. We also assist with materials and other costs. PAD's current projects include sewing and tailoring training for young mothers to help them to support themselves and their children. Kader also gives weekly art classes at Bamako's detantion centre for women, where young children are often detained alongside their mothers.
