We are delighted to offer for auction the artwork created by mystery artist, The Hat for the Make a Difference with a Daisy Campaign, called Day's Eye.
The artworkwas left anonymously on the doorstep of Framlingham Library.
The town of Framlingham is famous for its beautiful castle which featured in Ed Sheeran's song, the Castle on the Hill.
The artwork has been authenticated by "The Hat" via their website www.whoisthehat.com and comes with the original packaging and three laminated sheets describing the background to the creation of the piece.
Terms and Conditions for Online Auction
1. Introduction
Welcome to Suffolk Libraries online art auction. By participating in this auction, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
2. Auction Details
Auction Start Date: 16/09/2024
Auction End Date: 30/09/2024 at 12:00 PM (midday)
Minimum Incremental Bids: £20
3. Eligibility
Participants must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts.
4. Registration
All bidders must register on our platform before participating in the auction. Registration requires providing accurate and complete information.
5. Bidding Process
Bids must be placed in increments of at least £20.
Once a bid is placed, it cannot be retracted.
The highest bid at the end of the auction period will be deemed the winning bid.
6. Payment
The winning bidder must make full payment within 5 business days of the auction’s end.
Accepted payment methods include credit/debit cards.
Failure to make payment within the specified period may result in the cancellation of the winning bid and the item being offered to the next highest bidder.
7. Delivery and Collection
The winning bidder is responsible for any shipping or collection costs.
Suffolk Libraries is not responsible for any damage to the artwork once it has been despatched to be shipped to the winning bidder.
If collecting the artwork rather than it being shipped, The winning bidder is responsible for collection of the artwork from Woodbridge Library, 21 Lanyard Place, Woodbridge, Suffolk, IP12 1DT during normal opening hours. Opening hours can be found here
Items will be shipped or made available for collection only after full payment has been received.
8. Authenticity and Condition
All artwork is sold “as is.” We make no guarantees or warranties regarding the authenticity, condition, or value of the artwork.
9. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from the auction will be resolved in accordance with UK law.
In the event of a dispute, the decision of the auctioneer will be final.
10. Privacy
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Personal information collected during registration and bidding will be used solely for the purposes of the auction and will not be shared with third parties without your consent.
11. Amendments
We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and will take effect immediately.
12. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.
