In June 2022 Hendy Performance service technician Rob Procter is taking on a solo 1,850 mile cycle challenger in Canada and America and will be raising funds for Hendy Foundation.
Rob is set to cycle from Vancouver in Canada through America with a finish at the Mexican border in June 2022 – taking the scenic coastal roads down the west coast and tackling an average of 80 miles a day.
Rob, who lives in Romsey and works at Hendy Performance in Eastleigh in Hampshire is no stranger to cycling challenges and is already increasing his daily mileage to ensure he is fully prepared for his American adventure.
He says he chose the west coast as the weather should be better than cycling in the UK and he wanted to tackle something a little different.
“By sticking to the coast as much as possible the scenery will be amazing and I’m looking forward to cycling by myself and my own pace,†said Rob. “I’m looking to average 80 miles a day, but some will be shorter and there are some where I will by cycling 120 miles so that will be a real challenge.â€
By supporting Rob in his challenge you can support Hendy Foundation which provides grants to charities, organisations and individuals in Devon, Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire, West Sussex, East Sussex, Surrey and Kent.
