About

“Power for Ukraine” is a fund raising campaign organised by the Ukraine Support Group of Banchory West Church in the northeast of Scotland.
The one factor that can make the difference between life and death is the availability of electric power. Without it, it is difficult to provide hot food and warmth, especially to vulnerable adults and children being cared for in homes.
With the help of Ukrainians in the capital, we have identified six institutions in the Kyiv region, which urgently need generators to provide electricity.
We have set ourselves an initial target of £45,000 to purchase diesel generators of varying sizes to enable these organisations to continue to provide a service to those who depend on them.
We do not have to wait until the full target sum is reached:  generators will be purchased locally, as soon as sufficient funds become available.

Number of elderly residents: 124
Needs: 3-phase diesel generator 7.5 kW for heating

2. Municipal Institution Myronivka Center for the
    Provision of in-patient Social Services
Number of elderly and disabled patients:  35
Needs: 6.7 kW diesel generator for pumping

3. Pereyaslav regional centre of social &
   psychological rehabilitation for Children
Number of children: 45
Needs: 15 kW diesel generator for cooking & heating

4. Bravo Kids Sanatorium Children's Health
    Institution Tsyblivska community centre
Number of persons: 150 including 60 children
Needs: 10 kW generator for cooking, heating, lighting etc


5. Rehabilitation Centre for Children,
    Obukhov district, Kyiv region
Number of children: 20
Needs: 3-phase generator 8kW for cooking

6. Sezenkiv regional centre for social &
    psychological rehabilitation of Children
Number of children: 25
Needs: 40 kW 3-phase generator for cooking & heating
